Neoprene boots are very useful when you are going in the water in those places where there might be sharp rocks or shells. The Danish waters are cold, so neoprene boots are a necessity if you want to stay warm. You usually use neoprene boots for SUP surfing, kitesurfing, kayak, windsurfing and regular surfing in the waves. There are different types of neoprene boots, depending on what type of sport you are going to use them for. For kitesurfing, windsurfing and surfing you need a very flexible neoprene boot, so you aren’t weakened when performing tricks.
When choosing the size of your neoprene boots, we recommend that you choose the same size as your regular sneakers. A neoprene boot needs to fit tightly on the entire foot and shut out the water. Is your neoprene boot too big, water will enter and your boots will become heavy. On the other hand, you can’t have too small neoprene boots either, because it will become unbearable with time as it would with a regular shoe.
There are many different levels of thickness for neoprene boots. The typical one is 5mm thick, which is the recommended thickness for an all-round Danish neoprene boot. Some surfers use thinner noepren boots during the summer and thicker ones during the winter. However, the most common thickness is definitely 5 mm.
